"Vikings" To Stream Final Episodes on Amazon Prime

In an unprecedented move, it's been announced today that the final 10 episodes of Vikings (Whose first half of it's sixth and final season aired earlier this year on the History Channel), will first stream on Amazon Prime Video in the US, UK, Germany, Austria and Ireland on December 30th. While the show is still expected to air in a weekly format on the History Channel, it's not been confirmed when that will happen. Amazon Prime currently is where viewers can find the first five and a half seasons so it makes sense that is where it would finish it's run. The official trailer released today helps to set-up the epic finale that creator Michael Hirst has in store for the show's loyal fanbase:

On the announcement of this move, Hirst had this to say:

“Prime Video will uniquely expose the series finale to a streaming audience first. Prepare to be astonished, and for many surprises along the way. And if you have tears to shed, then also be prepared to shed them.”

Following the show's conclusion, the planned spin-off series, Vikings: Valhalla, will stream on Netflix. Stay tuned!

Lost my interest around season 3...became repetitive and boring.
