For the last week or so, there had been rumors flying around that Venom: Let There Be Carnage would be delayed until 2022. However, a new poster released today seems to confirm that the sequel to the surprise 2018 blockbuster hit will be sticking to it's October 15th theatrical release later this year:
The sequel, taking place over a year after the events of the first film, will see Eddie Brock (Played once again by Tom Hardy) struggling to adjust to life as the host of the alien symbiote Venom,. As he leads a double life as a lethal vigilante, Brock attempts to reignite his career as an investigative journalist by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady (Played by Woody Harrelson), who becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage and escapes prison after a failed execution. As the new photos released today show, the result will be utter chaos and, of course, carnage:
Venom: Let There Be Carnage co-stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, and Stephen Graham. It is directed by Andy Serkis.
the first one was surprisingly fun...but now that the element of surprise is gone i have low expectations
