"Twelve Minutes" Reveals Impressive Voice Ensemble with Trailer

Daisy Ridley seems to have found a new career path in the form of voice acting for video games. Yesterday, it was confirmed she will co-star in the VR film Baba Yaga (See that announcement here). While that project is set to see her co-star alongside the likes of Kate Winslet, Jennifer Hudson, and Glenn Close, her new project announced today, the interactive game Twelve Minutes, will see her co-star alongside James McAvoy and Willem Dafoe.

The game will be a real-time, top-down interactive thriller with an old school point and click interface. It will see James McAvoy and Daisy Ridley star as a married couple trying to have a romantic evening which turns into a nightmare when a police detective (Played by Dafoe) breaks into the home, accuses Ridley's characters of murder, and beats her to death on the spot. However, McAvoy’s character then immediately finds himself returned to the exact moment he opened the front door, stuck in a 12 minute time loop. And unless he can find a way to use the knowledge of what’s coming to change the outcome and break the loop, he will be doomed to relive the same terror again and again.

The game hails from Annapurna Interactive, the video game division of Megan Ellison's film production company Annapurna Pictures. Annapurna Interactive is known for a series of acclaimed games, often known for their story, with a few examples being Journey, What Remains of Edith Finch, Flower, Outer Wilds, and Kentucky Route Zero. Twelve Minutes will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC later this year.

The cast for Twelve Minutes was announced today with a special reveal trailer. Check it out below:

Could I be Willem Dafoe's character and beat Daisy to death every 12 minutes?
