Obviously expected to be a competitor for the Oscars next year, director George Clooney's newest film The Tender Bar has released it's official trailer ahead of a release in theaters on December 17th, followed by launch on Amazon Prime on January 7th (Amazon Studios was the production film behind the film). A film whose first poster is in media res, diving into the essential dynamic that will drive this film.
The film is written by William Monahan whose previous work on 2006's The Departed earned him the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. This time around, instead of adapting a Hong Kong action film, he's adapting from a memoir that was written by J.R. Moechringer that chronicled a time in his youth where he spent time at a Long Island bar run by his Uncle Charlie (Played by Ben Affleck) while searching for unlikely father figures. Tye Sheridan will play the older version of Moechringer while Daniel Ranieri stars as young J. R. Moehringer.
