A popular choice of show for streaming services is to force a group of adolescent characters into isolation where they have to contend with each other, often leading to tragic outcomes. Netflix has done this countless times, notably with the short-lived cult favorite The Society where a group of high schoolers find their parents have disappeared, leaving kids to their own devices. HBO Max recently saw massive success with their Lord of the Flies-esque tale Yellowjackets about high school girls marooned on an island. Now, Amazon is getting in on this trend with their upcoming series Class of '07 which will co-star Emily Browning (American Gods) in one of the primary roles.
Set during the ten-year reunion of an all-girls high school, the show will see a group of women having to survive on the island peak of their high school campus when an apocalyptic tidal wave hits, stranding them there. As you can guess, the result is old wounds opening up though the show serves to stand apart by offering an off-beat comedic tone. Though, if the official trailer is any indication, no one will want to go to their high school reunion anyway after watching this show:
Class of '07 is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on March 17th.

Another Shaymalan stinker, this time wrapped in a nice rainbow woke package. Acting was pretty weak and story didn't make much sense.
wow, this sucks on so many levels.
