Third "Psych" Movie Coming to Peacock

Despite the USA show Psych ending back in 2014, the series' committed fanbase (jokingly called "PsychOs") made creator Steve Franks continue the story through a series of TV movies. So far, two have been released with Franks announcing, after the first film released in 2017 on the USA Network (simply titled Psych: The Movie), that hoped to make five more Psych movies. He's already managed to make one of those five in 2019 when Psych 2: Lassie Come Home premiered on Peacock in 2020 on the day the NBCUniversal streaming service officially launched. And now, another one can be added to that tally today with the announcement of the third film, Psych 3: This Is Gus which is set to begin production in the summer.

Like the second film, it will premiere on Peacock. The plot will focus on Gus (Played by Dulé Hill) preparing for the birth of his baby with his girlfriend Selene (Played by Jazmyn Simon). He and Shawn (Played by James Roday Rodriguez) go rogue in an attempt to track down Selene's estranged husband, while Lassiter (Played by Timothy Omundson) grapples with the future of his career in the wake of his shooting and stroke recovery. Maggie Lawson, Kirsten Nelson, and Corbin Bernsen will also return.

No official air date has been announced as-of-yet. Stay tuned!
