Honestly, this is a big accomplishment given the slew of shows that Netflix has been cancelling this year. Course, The Umbrella Academy had huge viewership for it's recent second season that premiered on the streaming service in September, reportedly surpassing Netflix's other streaming favorites like The Office and NCIS. So, NOT renewing Umbrella Academy for a season 3 would prove most unwise by Netflix. They HAVE been renewed for season 3, by the way. In case it wasn't clear.
Production is set to begin next year in February in Toronto, Canada with the surviving cast members of season 2 returning alongside showrunner and executive producer Steve Blackman. Stay tuned!
I really enjoyed both first seasons ( I mean except for the LGBT+ crap).
