"Texas Chainsaw Massacre" Sequel Reveals Surprise Poster

As a treat for the Halloween season, Call of Duty: Warzone is launching the new Season 6 event “Haunting Of Verdansk”. In this event, soldiers will be pitted against several popular cinematic horror icons, namely that of Jigsaw (From Saw) and Leatherface (From Texas Chainsaw Massacre). You can check out the launch trailer for the event below:

However, while the event alone is a treat for horror and FPS fans alike, it turns out the trailer held a special treat. More specifically, fans found a club that led them to the official site for the upcoming sequel to Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Check it out here), which is expected to be a direct continuation to the original classic 1974 film that was directed by Tobe Hooper. And on that site, fans were treated to a beautiful new poster for the sequel that is surprisingly artistic:

No plot details have been released with the film's official title on IMDB is currently The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (A new sequel trick is to simply add a "The" to the predecessor's title). However, there is plenty of behind-the-scenes information. The film is being directed by cinematographer David Blue Garcia who was reported to have taken over for directing duo Andy and Ryan Tohill (The Dig) just one week into production back in August. The film will also notably be produced by Don't Breath and Evil Dead director Fede Alvarez. The cast will include Elsie Fisher, Jacob Latimore, Sarah Yarkin), Mark Burnham, Olwen Fouéré, Alice Krige, Nell Hudson, Jessica Allain, Sam Douglas, William Hope, Jolyon Coy, and Moe Dunford.

It's a strong bet that with a poster now here and some effort put into promoting the film's site, a trailer will probably be just around the corner...right next to Leatherface ready to swing his chainsaw once again. Stay tuned!
