This year, not only is M. Night Shyamalan's daughter Saleka isn't just making her acting debut in her father's new film Trap (which co-stars Josh Hartnett who spoke on the film yesterday), but his other daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan will also be making her directorial debut with her own feature, based on the A.M. Shine novel The Watchers.
The film sees Dakota Fanning playing the role of artist Mina who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. Upon finding shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night. Fanning will co-star alongside Georgina Campbell and Olwen Fouéré.
Today, the official teaser trailer for the film has been released, choosing to take the style of Ishana's filmmaker father by presenting an ominous presentation with little answers but plenty of questions:
The Watchers is set to hit theaters June 7th.
Part 2 is better than part 1. Still too long. It was OK at best. Give it a 7/10
