Roland Emmerich has done every form of disaster flick possible. You'd think he was done after 2012.
And yet, not only did he do a sequel to Independence Day, but now he's doing a story where a mysterious force has knocked the moon out of orbit...and sending on a collision with Earth. While Moonfall seeming like an update of 1951's When Worlds Collide, Emmerich has at his disposal the ability to capture the consequences of such an event happening in such an over-the-top way, it's surprising the teaser so effectively conveys terror along with the silliness of the premise. And while Emmerich probably doesn't expect to win an Oscar with his new film, it's clear that he looks to once again entertain audiences with sheer scope and utter destructive fun. Check the teaser out below:
Moonfall stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Charlie Plummer, Michael Peña, and Donald Sutherland. It is scheduled to be released on February 4th, 2022.
Halle Berry deserves this. LOL
