Gerard Butler has seemingly finally found the right groove with his string of B-movie action films that at first were not great, but has led to several surprising hits as-of-late including Greenland and Plane with both already having sequels greenlit. Not to mention his Has Fallen franchise is set to continue with a fourth tentatively titled Night Has Fallen. Now, he's reteaming with director Ric Roman Waugh, who wrote and directed both Greenland and Angel Has Fallen (he will return for both greenlit sequels alongside Butler), for another action flick titled Kandahar which has just released it's teaser trailer. The synopsis is as follows:
In Kandahar, Tom Harris (Butler), an undercover CIA operative, is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator (Ali Fazal), to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down.

Besides being at the helm, Waugh co-wrote Kandahar alongside Mitchell LaFortune. The film is set to hit theaters May 26th.
I love it when an actor just gives up like this.
