The original version of The 4400, which ran on USA Network from 2004 to 2007, was an odd case. The first season was actually advertised as a miniseries, but surprisingly was followed up by three additional seasons. Sadly, the show ended on a cliffhanger so it's probably a little more than disappointing for some fans of the series that instead of a resolution, the CW was working on a reboot of the series that was announced back in November 2018. Like the original the series will follow a group of 4400 previously missing people suddenly appearing in Washington with many having gained abilities.
It was suddenly confirmed this past February, after two years of few updates, that the reboot got a straight-to-series order. And now a teaser image has been released though it remains without an official premiere date. Check it out below:
Presumably, the series will premiere in the Fall given the image is coming at the end of the standard 2020-2021 TV season that runs from Fall to Spring, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Stay tuned!
