Syfy's "Resident Alien" Renewed for Season 2

In the midst of it's wildly successful freshman season on Syfy, the Alan Tudyk-starring dramedy Resident Alien has today been renewed for a second season.

The show follows an alien who, after crash-landing on Earth, takes on the identity of a small-town Colorado doctor and wrestles with the moral dilemma of his secret mission. All the while, he is forced to deal with a 9-year-old boy who can see through his human disguise. The show is based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name.

The first season's finale is set to air on March 31st, following a season that has been met with critical acclaim (Currently holding a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes) and has been Syfy’s highest-rated new drama in more than six years. The premiere episode had 9.3 million total viewers across all platforms with the season thus far able to hold those numbers. Safe to say, people will gladly welcome a second season. Stay tuned!
