Part of the fun of the Arrowverse is how the various characters will crossover into each other's stories outside of their own shows. And while initially the CW shows struggled to feature more prominent DC characters (Restricted so they could be featured solely in cinematic outings), all that has changed since season 2 of Supergirl when Tyler Hoechlin began to appear as Clark Kent/Superman. And while he went on to show up in several seasons of the show featuring the Girl of Steel (And the last two yearly crossovers of the CW shows), he finally will be getting his own solo show titled Superman & Lois alongside Elizabeth Tulloch, who has been appearing as Lois for the last couple years.
However, like all of the CW shows, production for new seasons (Or in this case, premiere season) was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And while filming on all the Arrowverse is set to begin soon, none of them are expected to air until 2021. This has been confirmed by the new character posters released for Superman & Lois which also emulate the looks of the characters from the comic books (Including Lois's trademark purple outfit from the popular animated series of the late 1990's/early 2000's. Check them out below:
While the pair were last seen giving birth to twins, the casting of the show implies a time jump of some kind (Or perhaps an odd consequence of last year's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover) as their kids are set to be played by teen actors. Most likely, through set photos and more story beats teased as it's premiere date approaches, audiences will know soon enough. Stay tuned!
Seems like déjà vu.
Let me guess...Lois is a strong independent woman who doesn't need lame male super heroes to help her and she teaches superman that it is wrong to have toxic male alien masculinity
