The story trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard emphasizes a truly epic scope for it's story. While the narrative is unified, the single-player campaign will span four different frontlines of World War II. Focusing on the Pacific War, the Western and Eastern Fronts, and the North African campaign, the single-player campaign will heavily emphasize introducing the player from multiple points of view to, according to Sledgehammer Games' narrative team, "the untold stories of multinational heroes". In the process, the game will reveal the origin of the special forces as they fight across the chaos of war in tide-turning battles.
To add a sense of the reality effect, the main characters of the unified storyline are inspired by real-world military service personnel like Lt. Polina Petrova, based on Soviet sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko, also known as "Lady Death". Check out the story trailer below and see some of these characters in action.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to be released on November 5th for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S.
