With the announcement that Disney and Pixar's new film Soul will head straight to Disney+ on Christmas Day (December 25th), a new trailer has been released. This follows word that Disney was shuffling it's priority to streaming to contend with the impact COVID-19 has had on their physical businesses, namely Disneyland, located in Anaheim, being shut down since March when the pandemic began. Although, anticipating audiences may be quite accepting of this given the film has gotten incredible early reviews with some even calling it a return to form and originality for Pixar. Currently, the film holds 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with 21 reviews.
While that may change, check out the new trailer for the film below:
Soul stars the voices of Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Questlove, Phylicia Rashad, Daveed Diggs, and Angela Bassett. It is directed by Pete Docter and co-directed by Kemp Powers who wrote the script with Docter and Mike Jones. Stay tuned!
