"Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2" Teases Realistic Weather Graphics

While the game was announced nearly 2 years ago at the 2019 Game Awards, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, a sequel to the highly-praised 2017 game Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, has yet to get a release despite being an exclusive on Xbox Series X (who bought the game's studio Ninja Theory in hopes of developing more exclusive titles). While it's not been confirmed whether the game will be teased at the Xbox and Bethesda showcase on June 13, today a short clip was posted to the developer’s Twitter which shows a time-lapse of a stormy cloud flowing over a fortified village. The point is to emphasize the natural look of the weather which, according to the caption of the team’s post, is created by “using flow maps to make clouds form and dissolve.” Check the footage out below:

There are a few notes in red at the top left corner of the video about rebuilding elements of the landscape, but otherwise it's a very obscure piece of footage to simply remind people Ninja Theory is putting work into every detail which could explain the delay of the game's release. Stay tuned!
