Filming for John Wick: Chapter 4 (which will no longer film back-to-back with Chapter 5), is set to begin in June in Berlin, Paris, New York, and Japan. While it's unconfirmed who else is returning from the previous films beyond Keanu Reeves, it can now be confirmed that he will be joined by Japanese-British pop star Rina Sawayama in a supporting role, serving as her acting debut. John Wick: Chapter 4 director Chad Stahelski had this to say of her casting:
“I’m so glad to have Rina on board to make her feature film debut in John Wick: Chapter 4. She’s an incredible talent who’ll bring so much to the film.”
Sawayama was born in Japan but moved to London at the age of five actually studied at Cambridge University where in politics, psychology, and sociology. So, she's not exactly without her qualifications to compose herself in a performance. We'll find out when Chapter 4 lands in theaters on May 27, 2022. Stay tuned!
