Redband Trailer: "The Spine of Night"

There hasn't been a trailer or even word about the rotoscoping animated film The Spine of Night since it had it's world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival earlier this year. Not because it was bad. It was very well-received, currently carrying an 82% on Rotten Tomatoes. But with such a specialized genre film (an adult animated dark fantasy film), it took some time for the low budget film to get a release date.

The story is set in a fantasy land where a mystical plant has left the planet in ruins all while the man who uncovered its power lords over this broken world. Teased as ultra-violent, another interesting mention in a preview for the film is the heroes of the story are from different eras and cultures to fight back. The film definitely has gotten the right release date window for itself, set to land in theaters and on demand on October 29th. And now, an official redband trailer that perfectly speaks for the film. Check it out below:

The Spine of Night is co-written and co-directed by Philip Gelatt and Morgan Galen King.
