During preview footage at this year's CinemaCon, Paramount the titles of several of their most anticipated franchise flicks.
The Quiet Place spin-off has been confirmed to be called A Quiet Place: Day One. Originally set to be directed Jeff Nichols, Nichols opted out and now Michael Sarnoski, known for his recent directorial debut Pig, the spin-off will follow a completely different set of characters from the first two films which followed the Abbott family. A third main installment that continues the Abbott family's quest for survival is currently in development as well.
After delays upon delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the seventh Mission: Impossible finally showed footage and in the process confirmed the title to be Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. The title may get changed, but in either case, it confirms that it will be the first of a two-part finale that is expected to be a grand send-off for Tom Cruise's character Ethan Hunt. The seventh installment has been rumored even to end on a cliffhanger ending. Cruise gave an introduction to the footage via a live-stream from on-location shooting for the eighth film.
