"Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake" to Release Before March 2022

The upcoming remake of 2003's acclaimed game Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was supposed to land on consoles this past March. Sadly, it was delayed shortly before that release after its reveal trailer received overwhelmingly negative reception from fans over the visuals that were considered last generation in quality. While this was considered by choice so as not to meddle to much with the visual designs of the original game, Ubisoft decided to delay the remake's release so, in their words, there was extra time to “deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original.” While no new release date has been made, today in a Ubisoft earnings conference call, a window of when it will be has been given though it's still far off.

Technically, what was confirmed was Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will be released before March 31st, 2022 so that it's strategically scheduled before the end of Ubisoft’s fiscal year. This due date serves, apparently, as a deadline for the company while offering more time to polish the game. Basically? Ubisoft doesn't want a Cyberpunk 2077 on their hands. If you know what I mean, then you'll probably take this with some gratitude. Stay tuned!
