Following it's debut at the Toronto International Film Festival a couple weeks ago, the bizarre drama Wolf is set to have a limited release in theaters on December 3rd. It's understandable why it be limited as the official trailer shows.
The story follows a boy named Jacob (Played by George MacKay) who believes that he’s a wolf due to a mental illness referred to as Species Identity Disorder (based on the real illness called species dysphoria). In an attempt to cure this, Jacob decided to “the zoo,” a clinic specializing in the condition, run by “the zookeeper” (Played by Paddy Considine), a therapist who uses extreme “curative” therapies. In addition, Jacob falls for another patient who believes herself to be a wildcat (Played by Lily-Rose Depp). The official trailer released today shows that the film is just as strange as the premise above makes it sound. Check it out below:
Wolf co-stars Eileen Walsh, Fionn O'Shea, and Lola Petticrew. It is written and directed by Nathalie Biancheri.
