Before Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter on the small screen, on August 6th he'll be appearing on the big screen in the upcoming thriller John and the Hole. The unsettling story is a coming of age psychological thriller focusing on a kid (Played by Charlie Shotwell) who holds his family captive in a hole in the ground. While the film currently has an RT score of 55% following its premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival in January, one thing has been confirmed. The film is disturbing and indeed unsettling, even if it might not have a story to back up it's atmosphere. Still, the official trailer released today indicates the film very well could surprise audiences next month. Check it out below:
John and the Hole co-stars Jennifer Ehle and Taissa Farmiga. It is directed by Pascual Sisto and written by Nicolás Giacobone with the story being a feature-length adaptation of Giacobone's short story, El Pozo.
I think the original title was Rambo and Pornfly's Mom.
