Official Trailer: "Annette"

There is strange and then there...whatever the first trailer for Annette is playing at. Though starring Adam Driver indicates that quickly given he has tackled strange in spades with such films as The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. Despite the film appearing like a Wes Anderson film, the project is actually the work of acclaimed French director Leos Carax in which this is not only his first feature since his equally strange 2012 fantasy drama Holy Motors but also his English-language feature debut.

While the trailer doesn't reveal much, what is know is it that it will follow a provocative stand-up comedian (Played by Driver) and his opera singer wife (Played by Marion Cotillard) as their daughter Annette is born and begins to display a special gift. If the trailer is any indication though, whatever is revealed in the actual film will be something unexpected. Check it out below

Annette co-stars Simon Helberg and Angèle. It is set to be the opening film at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival which will run from July 6th to July 17th. It will release in France the same day with a US release date expected after it's initial premiere.

Adam Driver tends to pick interesting projects these days. This certainly looks....different.
