With the film ramping up promotion (and hopefully not stopping again), Warner Bros. has released an official synopsis for the highly-anticipated Matt Reeves-directed film The Batman. It seems that, unlike previous takes on the character, Pattinson's younger, less-tested version of the hit DC character will be less assuring and far more raw of an interpretation:
THE BATMAN is an edgy, action-packed thriller that depicts Batman in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham. Robert Pattinson delivers a raw, intense portrayal of Batman as a disillusioned, desperate vigilante awakened by the realization that the anger consuming him makes him no better than the ruthless serial killer he’s hunting.
The Batman co-stars Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. It is set to hit theaters on March 4th, 2021
Take it easy sweetheart!
