One of the big hooks for the upcoming Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the understanding it was inspired by waifu and other martial art films, thus offering another style of film for audiences among the MCU catalogue. This is something emphasized in early reactions to the film (which will make it's theatrical debut on September 3rd), particularly the action scenes and investment of the characters in the film overall. Lead actor Simu Liu proves all this in more in the new brief clip released today that puts the titular character's moves on display. The clip asks "Does He Look Like He Can Fight?" and it answers with a resounding "Um...yes!". Check it out below:
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings co-stars Awkwafina, Meng'er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, and Tony Leung. It is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (who wrote the script with Dave Callaham and Andrew Lanham, from a story by Cretton and Callaham).
