While a lot of footage from James Gunn's The Suicide Squad clearly shows the director's off-beat humor and style present in every frame, perhaps the biggest indication is that of the main antagonist of the upcoming film, Starro. A bizarre, kaiju-sized starfish that looks set to cause massive havoc. And this is further made clear by Gunn himself releasing a new poster on his Instagram that seems to indicate Starro has his sights set on the team. Check it out below:
The Suicide Squad stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Peter Capaldi. It is set to be released theatrically in the US on August 5th (following a release in the UK on July 30th). The film will also be available for streaming on HBO Max for a month on the same day of it's US theatrical release.
