Netflix Trailers: "A Boy Called Christmas", "Love Hard"


 

While Halloween or Thanksgiving haven't even past yet, Netflix is already set for Christmas with a two new holiday films titled A Boy Called Christmas and Love Hard.

 

A Boy Called Christmas (Teaser Trailer)

In a reimagining of the story of Father Christmas, the film sees Nikolas (Played by Henry Lawfull) as a young boy who sets off into the snowy white north in search of his father. The film is based on the 2015 book of the same name by Matt Haig and will be distributed in theaters internationally next month in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany and China (via StudioCanal). However, the US will see the film exclusively on Netflix. The film is directed by Gil Kenan (who co-wrote the script with Ol Parker).

Love Hard (Official Trailer)

Adding to the large collection of original romantic comedies, Netflix has released the official trailer for Love Hard. The film Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev as a young woman in Los Angeles who falls for a man on a dating app and travels to his East Coast hometown to surprise him for Christmas, but discovers that she's been catfished. Her crush actually does live in the same town, and the guy who duped her offers to set them up, if she pretends to be his girlfriend for the holidays. The film is directed by Hernán Jiménez and is set to be released on Netflix on November 5th.
