Jean-Claude Van Damme hasn't been afraid to make fun of his once serious action persona lately (such as the recent Amazon series Jean-Claude Van Johnson) or even point the camera at his real life (such as JCVD). Looks like he'll continue that for his new Netflix action comedy The Last Mercenary. The synopsis is as follows:
A mysterious former secret service agent (Played by Van Damme) must urgently return to France when his estranged son is falsely accused of arms and drug trafficking by the government, following a blunder by an overzealous bureaucrat and a mafia operation.
