Back in September, producer Eric Roth touted Mank, director David Fincher's first film since 2014's Gone Girl, would land on Netflix when the first photos were released (See them here). Now, it seems like it will be a very black and white holiday season as it's been confirmed today the film will land on the streaming service on December 4th.
The film will follow the titular screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz (Played by Gary Oldman) as he rushes to get his Citizen Kane screenplay to Orson Welles. It will also cover their now legendary feud over who got screenwriting credit for the iconic film. Fincher works off a script written by his father, Jack Fincher.
Mank co-stars Amanda Seyfried, Lily Collins, and Charles Dance. Stay tuned!
