Movie Fact #60 - October 16th, 2020

The 2006 South Korean film The Host may have been about a monster in the sewers, but the real monster were the conditions the cast and crew had to deal with. During filming, the crew had to deal with the effects of changes in weather and ambient temperature which included the sewage water freezing in cold temperatures. So the crew had to break up the ice and melt it. Then, during hot and windy periods, the water evaporated and the silt turned to dust. This blew around in the breeze and into the faces of the crew. And you thought the monster was a nightmare! Stay tuned!
