Movie Fact #293 - September 16th, 2021

2012 didn't just see the release of Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning film Lincoln, but it also saw the release of the more bizarre film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter which sees tells the fictional version of Lincoln's life as he fights vampires to avenge the death of his mother. And while the lead star Benjamin Walker didn't win an Oscar for playing Lincoln as Daniel Day Lewis did, he committed wholeheartedly to the role in every way. Not only did he train to be able to do a lot of his own stunt work with an axe, but he actually promoted the film in character for armed services personnel aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, an aircraft carrier named for the historical President he plays. Stay tuned!

it was a missed opportunity...cool idea but the movie was quite boring with little action.
