Movie Fact #232 - July 22nd, 2021

The 1960 film Inherit the Wind holds the odd recognition of being the first in-flight movie ever shown on Trans World Airlines. In addition, in its opening sequence it is one of the few motion pictures to feature both sections of Universals Courthouse Square backlot. The courthouse section has been used for countless films and television shows including: To Kill a Mockingbird, Back to the Future, The Twilight Zone, and Bye-Bye Birdie. However, the second section was never showed up on screen as much over the history of the lot although it's intended purpose was to be a transition to residential homes, with a neighborhood park and church. Stay tuned!
