The 1988 film The Accidental Tourist would ultimate garner Geena Davis an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in the role of Sarah Leary. As it turns out, she did a lot of prep for the part, even while she was filming another film! To prepare for the role, Davis read the 1985 novel on which this film was based and actually read it while filming the 1986 film The Fly. In fact, she would read it to Jeff Goldblum while he went through the hours-long process of having prosthetic make-up applied to his body. So, she multitasked. She prepared for an Oscar-winning role while simultaneously supporting a co-star! Stay tuned!
