In many ways, 1981's On Golden Pond was a way for Henry Fonda and his daughter, Jane Fonda, to find peace with each other before Henry Fonda passed the next year in 1982. In fact, Jane Fonda purchased the rights to the play specifically for her father, Henry Fonda, to play the role of the cantankerous Norman Thayer. No life is worth if too much is left unsaid. Stay tuned!
