In 2014, Aaron Sorkin was hired to adapt the memoir of Molly Bloom which would eventually become the 2017 film Molly's Game. As it turns out, the real Molly Bloom had already approached Sorkin, as he was her "favorite writer". So, safe to say, that solidified Sorkin's determination to make the film. Was that the confidence boost that led Sorkin to also make the film his directorial debut? You never know. Stay tuned!
