The 1997 film Inventing the Abbotts features an older version of the lead, Doug Holt (Played by Joaquin Pheonix, narrating the story. Following in the tradition of the shows Wonder Years (And later How I Met Your Mother), the narrator version of the lead character is not the same actor as the one playing him on-screen for the film's narrative. The role of Narrator/Older Doug Holt is actually not Phoenix, but Michael Keaton who went uncredited for his narrating work. Stay tuned!
