Set to land simultaneously on HBO Max and theaters this Friday (April 23rd), WB's Mortal Kombat is the kind of popcorn fun that could bring people to the theater, especially following Godzilla vs. Kong which currently is the highest-grossing film during the pandemic era. To really intrigue audiences, WB has taken a similar marketing move that they with Christopher Nolan's latter two Dark Knight films and have released the opening minutes of the film online, displaying a confidence in the upcoming video game adaptation.
