McNairy, Browning & Reynor Come to "Brightwater"

Michelle Pfeiffer's new project Wild Four O'Clocks isn't the only film that has cast noteworthy names prior to the Cannes Market where new film projects will work to find buyers and distributors. Another major project announced is that of Brightwater, confirming the casting of actors Scoot McNairy, Emily Browning, and Jack Reynor.

The film is set to focus on a big-city architect traveling to an isolated island with plans to build a sprawling luxury resort. However, instead finds himself embarks on a desperate search across the unforgiving, brutal landscape of Maine (and into his own psyche) when the architect’s girlfriend mysteriously vanishes.

The psychological thriller will be helmed by Lance Edmands (Bluebird) with Bankside Films set to launch the package deal at the Cannes Market with Verve Ventures co-repping domestically. Brightwater is already in pre-production with a potential sell at Cannes Market hopefully pushing it into production. Stay tuned!

Just saw it...I give it 3/10

Very woke and filled with demonic symbols. I guess some of the cameos were hints to where the MCU is headed to. The last act was atrocious. Overall I liked the first one more as it was much less woke, focused and even a bit spiritual.
