Confirmed for a premiere sometime in December of this year, the official trailer and poster has arrived for WandaVision, the first of the new MCU shows which promises to be tightly connected to the films. It's already been confirmed that the show will see Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Played by Paul Bettany) experiencing some kind of strange warp through various sitcom realities, although no idea how they got there. Or how Vision is alive, given he died at the hands of Thanos in the 2018 film Avengers: Infinity War. The official poster seems to emphasize the disorienting reality shifts they will be forced to deal with:
Another curious confirmation is that the show will serve as a lead-in for the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which Olsen is already confirmed to be co-starring in alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. Is it the Multiverse causing this strange experience for the heroes? Or is Scarlet Witch's powers causing it? In the comics, for example, she is able to warp reality to the point of, in the famous "House of M" storyline, erasing mutants from existence. Whatever the reason, the trailer shows it will be an experience of utter madness, as if Charlie Kaufman and Terry Gilliam had a baby of sheer surrealism and even a little meta. Check it out below:
