Lively to Helm First Film with "Seconds", Wright to Pen Script

Coming full circle to one of his greatest hits, Edgar Wright will pen and produce an adaptation of the newest graphic novel, titled Seconds, from author Bryan Lee O'Malley who previously created the Scott Pilgrim comic book series that Wright adapted into a 2010 film titled Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In addition, the film will serve as the feature-length directorial debut of actress Blake Lively. Lively previously directed the music video for Taylor Swift's 2021 single "I Bet You Think About Me" which resulted in Lively getting a 2022 Academy Country Music Awards nomination for directing and producing. Searchlight Pictures will fund the production.

Seconds follows Katie Clay who suddenly receives the power to fix her past mistakes via writing them down in a notebook, eating a mushroom, and falling asleep. Before long, in an effort to fix every little old problem in her life, Clay's newfound ability begins to create new problems. As the story escalates, these problems will threaten to not only to take her further and further from the life she initially had but the very fabric of time and space itself.

Yes! The last act was a bit pretentious but overall it was beautifully shot, had a lot of action and even Lively did a good job acting.

The island I live in doesn't have a cinema. But I got a big screen tv with nice stereo sound system so it will be pretty close.
