For those who are excited for Cyberpunk 2077 but are a little down about the delay till December (See the news here), perhaps an alternative to keep you busy until then? My suggestion is the first-person cyberpunk action game Ghostrunner that is launching on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC today (With a release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S set for 2021).
Set in the future, after a global cataclysm, the player assumes the role of a hero who must ascend a giant tower that contains the last bastion of humanity. A city where implants determine membership in various castes that divide the community while violence and poverty lead to a rebellion. Now, the player must defeat the tower's ruler, the Keymaster.
The player will have the unique ability to jump between the real world and cyberspace to navigate the tower. In addition, the game’s core mechanic is one-hit-one-kill, which means that one attack is enough to kill an enemy...or the player.
