Walton Goggins has become somewhat of a treasure for fans. One of those actors where whatever project they are in is better for them just being there in whatever capacity. Goggins may have first gained audience affection in the long-running Western crime show Justified on FX, but he's gone on to grace several big projects including The Hateful Eight and Ant-Man and the Wasp. For the the forthcoming mockumentary short film John Bronco, the Emmy-nominated actor takes center stage with director Jake Szymanski at the helm. Fortunately, while it was set to have it's world premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival (Which was cancelled due to the ongoing global pandemic), the film's backer, Imagine Documentaries, is still reportedly planning to release it sometime later this year.
The short film sees Goggins play the titular character, a fictional and legendary pitchman for the Ford Bronco...along with being a world class racer, rodeo star, and sex symbol. That is, unitl he suddenly disappeared. The story will see the "unbelievable" rise, fall, and ultimate redemption of John Bronco. And today, the legend himself gets a teaser trailer. Check it out below:
John Bronco co-stars Tim Meadows, Tim Baltz, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bo Derek, Ellen Karsten, and John Moschitta Jr. while Dennis Quaid will narrate the short film.
