Hailing from Disney Pictures and The Jim Henson Company, a Jim Henson biopic has been announced to be in the early stages. Specifically, screenwriter Michael Mitnick has been hired to pen a new draft of the story that previously saw writing duo Aaron and Jordan Kandell take a shot at the script.
No matter who writes it, it's been confirmed the story will focus on Henson's struggles to get The Muppets on the air. Little else is know about this project except Henson’s daughter Lisa Henson will produce. Hopefully, it will be a story very much in the vein of Saving Mr. Banks and truly capture the artistic splendor that Henson brought into the world. Stay tuned!
