Revving up following a critically acclaimed first season, HBO's Perry Mason has announced a wide set of new additions to the cast with Katherine Waterston in the most prominent of the new roles.
Waterston will play Ginny Aimes, a near-perfect schoolteaser who helps teach Perry's kid, Teddy following Perry's reservations sending him to private school. Waterston will be joined by Hope Davis, Peter Mendoza, Jon Chaffin, Fabrizio Guido, Onohoua Rodriguez, and Jee Young Han. The new season will be penned by Jack Amiel and Michael Begler, who also serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. This is following Rolin Jones and Ron Fitzgerald, who developed and wrote season one, leaving the show. Robert Downey Jr, Amanda Burrell, and Susan Downey serve as executive producers.
The new season will see Perry (Played by Matthew Rhys) and Della (Played by Juliet Rylance) having set the firm on a safer path pursuing civil cases instead of the tumultuous work that criminal cases entail. However, when Perry is drawn to an open-and-closed case that overtakes the city of Los Angeles, that policy changes fast. Season two will begin months after the end of the trial in season one and during the worst year of the Depression. Stay tuned!
I bet perry mason is pussy whipped in this remake.
