Thanks to the HBO Max Europe launch event happening today, several teases for upcoming projects at the streamer and the network at large have been revealed.
House of the Dragon (Teaser Trailer)
The long-awaited prequel series to the hit HBO show Game of Thrones has been released. The series will take place two centuries before the events of its parent series when House Targaryen ruled and the Targaryen civil war known as the "Dance of Dragons" is about to unfold.
The first season will consist of 10 episode. It stars Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Graham McTavish, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson, and Gavin Spokes. Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal serve as co-showrunners on the series and will executive produce as well alongside George R. R. Martin and Vince Gerardis. Check out the teaser trailer below:
The series will premiere on the streamer sometime in 2022.
Peacemaker (Extended Clip)
Serving a television sequel to his acclaimed DC film The Suicide Squad, James Gunns new eight-episode miniseries Peacemaker follows the titular character (Played by John Cena) following the events of that film. Namely Peacemaker having recently recovered following his betrayal of the squad in the film. Now, he will continue his pathological devotion to his own brand of justice. Gunn helming five of the eight season episodes for the series. Brad Anderson, Jody Hill, and Rosemary Rodriguez are confirmed to direct the other three. The first episode is set to debut on HBO Max in January 2022.
Succession - Season 3 (Exclusive Clip)
With season 3 set to premiere on HBO in a couple weeks (October 17th), an exclusive clip has been released for Succession that shows the immediate aftermath after Kendall (Played by Jeremy Strong) backstabbed his family on national TV in the season 2 finale. And the immediate result is...obviously...being fired. Check out the flip below:
