Tis' the season to...scare audiences. Which is why every show has some kind of Halloween episode, including animated.
Big City Greens (Halloween special "Squashed")
Disney's Big City Greens has a Halloween special coming for their show. The show's premise focuses on the titular Green family who move from the country to the Big City after losing the family farm. The special episode, titled "Squashed", will see the eldest of the two children Tilly (Played by Marieve Herington) not realizing that the chemicals she's putting on the plants are causing them to mutate, turning them into alien monsters! This realization is shown in the clip below:
The 22 minute animated special will premiere on Saturday, October 9 at 8:30 AM on Disney Channel and Disney NOW.
The Simpsons (Treehouse Of Horror XXXII)
In addition, a clip has been released for the upcoming annual Treehouse of Horror for The Simpsons. This year, for the first time ever in the consecutive 32 years of airing their annual Halloween special, Treehouse of Horror will feature five segments instead of the usual three. It's confirmed the episode will parody properties like The Ring, Guardians of the Galaxy, Parasite, Bambi, TikTok, and more. The below clip is for one segment titled "Poetic Interlude" and will feature a Vincent Price-esque narrator reading the storybook "The Telltale Bart." The story-within-a-story chronicles all of Bart's evil wrongdoings during each month of the year. It will be animated in the style of Edward Gorey, known for creepy children's books that would ultimately inspire classic books, shows, and movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Rob Reger's Emily the Strange, and Neil Gaiman's Coraline. Check out the clip below:
Treehouse of Horror XXXII airs Sunday October 10, 2021 on Fox.
