The fascinating thing about Jamie Lee Curtis and her role as Laurie Strode throughout the years is that her character has suffered every fate imaginable due to the various retcons and canons that have stemmed from the original 1978 classic Halloween. She has died, disappeared, and gone mad along the way. Though the 2018 film, also titled Halloween (but was a direct sequel to the 1978 original), has decided to ground her in a more raw and rough journey and retconned all the other films before it except that original film that started it all.
As a result, the point is that all-bets are off. Anything can happen. And while we won't see the end of the story arc until next year's Halloween Ends, the upcoming middle installment Halloween Kills (of a trilogy consisting of the previous 2018 film and next year's Halloween Ends) focuses heavily on the legacy that Laurie has left for her daughter (Played by Judy Greer) and granddaughter (Played by Andi Matichak). One that involves trauma and survival, all because of the "Boogeyman" Michael Myers who started stalking her relentlessly in the original 1978 film. Something that is covered in the new "Warriors" featurette that was released today ahead of the film's simultaneous theatrical/streaming release (on Peacock) on October 15th. Check it out below:
Halloween Kills co-stars Nick Castle, James Jude Courtney, Will Patton, Anthony Michael Hall, and Thomas Mann. It is directed by David Gordon Green (who co-wrote the script with Danny McBride and Scott Teems).
