Christopher Landon has made quite name for himself with his slasher films that bridge to other genres. Happy Death Day and it's sequel saw a college girl dying over and over again as she relived her birthday repeatedly. Last year, Landon's next film Freaky saw a high schooler switching bodies with a deranged serial killer. Now, Landon takes a producing position as his Freaky co-writer Michael Kennedy pens a new slasher with Sono Patel titled Time Cut.
Little is known about the film's plot except it's been described as "Back to the Future meets Scream" while also being teased as a "YA movie", meaning it might be less gory that Landon's directorial efforts. In addition, the film has already cast it's lead stars in the form of Madison Bailey (Outer Banks) and Antonia Gentry (Ginny & Georgia) with production expected to begin in Canada this June. Hannah Macpherson will direct while Matt Kaplan’s ACE Entertainment will produce alongside Landon. Stay tuned!
