Courtesy of Vanity Fair, we have the first photos for Mike Flanagan’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed Netflix series The Haunting of Hill House. The first season was based on Shirley Jackson’s novel of the same name, but the new season will be inspired by the works of Henry James, most notably the psychological gothic horror novella The Turn of The Screw along with elements of James’ novels The Jolly Corner and The Romance of Certain Old Clothes.
Like the upcoming seasons for The Mandalorian (Season 2) and Cobra Kai (Season 3), this series managed to wrap filming before the global pandemic hit and has been in post ever since. Thus it remains on track to released sometime this Fall as originally intended. Check out the first look photos below:
